Okay, I admit it, I'm a lame bum and I seem to have missed ever seeing Invader Zim (warning, Flash-heavy site). Fortunately, I got a chance to watch some this weekend at AnimeBoston and I'm sorely tempted to order the DVD now. What a hoot. Gir is a great character and I can see why Coraline has him as one of her LJ icons :)

i have many Zim episodes that someone burned for me. i could look for them when i finish unpacking.
*snicker*
however, i do not recommend naming your laptop GIR, no matter how cute and white and small and shiny it is.
names have power, and your laptop will start exhibiting strange behaviours that refuse to demonstrate themselves for repair people.
now i'm worried that zim (my desktop) is going to start trying to conquer earth or something...

I don't know! I kept hearing folks go on about it, and went 'okay, another fad, whatever.', but the episode with the moon-sized waterballoon was just too funny for words. (I only saw 2 1/2 episodes, but it was definately worth it. The second one involved Zim getting his mind-controlling zit)

Possibly my least favorite episode. Ewwww. You should hunt down Invasion of the Idiot Dog Brain if you can.
While we're talking about stuff you need to watch, you also would probably enjoy The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy - last night's episode, for example, had "To Eris Human", in which Mandy meets Eris in the mall and manages to trick her, and an episode with Billy reading from Grim's copy of "The Bad Book" and opening a portal in his basement to let out an ancient demon. Much geeky fun. ;)
